A Wireless Wish

I frequently go blog hopping around the Land of the Mommy Blogs. I find posts that are funny, posts that are heart-wrenching, and posts that are thought-provoking. I find cute pictures and inspiring stories and great advice. There are truly tons of fabulous and interesting mommy bloggers out there. One could go blog hopping for days on end without sleep and barely have scratched the surface. It’s certainly enough to keep me humble and even squash my confidence if I let it, but I digress…

Every once in a while I run across a blog that I really like enough to become a regular reader. I’ve mentioned Suburban Turmoil a couple of times, but now it’s time to give props to another one of my favorites, Notes From the Trenches (In fact, it was this blog that sent me to Suburban Turmoil!)

I am in total and complete awe of this mother of seven. (Yep, you read it right– seven) In addition to being a skilled writer who keeps me reading daily, she is a gifted photographer who takes and posts some amazing shots. But mostly, I am in awe because she manages her large family and her popular blog all while remaining (from what I have gleaned from her writing) pretty “normal” and down to earth. Like you could totally go to her house and hang with her over a cup of coffee and not be intimidated because she just wouldn’t let you feel that way.

But I’d be lying if I said my motives for writing about this favorite blogger of mine were totally pure. I’m writing this post because I want to win a free HP Photosmart C6380 All-in-One. You see, as a popular mommy blogger with a devoted following, she got one for free to review, and another one to give away to her readers! The contest involves answering the question “How will going wireless make your life easier?” And you get more chances if you blog about the contest, so here I am typing away. Now, hmmm… how to answer the question…

I thought of explaining how I operate under the “an uncluttered space is an uncluttered mind” frame of mind. And how I have to share a computer space at home with my husband who, well, let’s just say does not operate under the same philosophy. (Oh, I’m not a neat freak, and we’re not in Oscar and Felix territory or anything, but I do try and stay organized more than he does, and sometimes that’s tough.) And I thought of telling the story of how I bought him this fancy new black and glass (very swank) computer desk in an attempt to keep the clutter under control, but it didn’t help. Plus, a glass desk means you can actually see more wires. Yeah, um, didn’t think about that one.

But then I thought, why don’t I just let some photos answer the question for me? (Oh, please forgive the horrid paneling. It IS a rental house, you know.) Really, how do you childproof THIS:

Yeah, I’m thinking going wireless would make my life way easier.

P.S. I should mention that YOU could have a chance to win too if you visit her blog post about the contest and leave a comment. But don’t. That just ruins MY chances. Tee hee. (But hurry, the deadline is tomorrow!)

I like the new look. Thank God I noticed that before I noticed the photos which literally left me gasping for air. :) I truly hope you win!
