You know, Lee, at first I thought that. And I definitely miss certain aspects of teaching. I miss interacting with the kids. I miss presenting. I miss the movement. I miss the creativity. I miss the schedule. But then I remembered that I did want to get out of the classroom for a reason. There was something about it that put knots in my stomach. with all the paper grading and thinking about what and how I needed to teach, I often felt like I never left the job. If this job has one positive, it’s that when I go home, I go home. Don’t have to think about it again until I’m at my desk the next day. The upshot is, haven’t reached my destination yet

I, too, was impressed by his speech but have been having an ongoing political debate with a “friend” of a “friend” on FB. Republicans are never going to go along especially when they are trying to get him out. And of course, everyone wants to know “where does he think he is going to get the money from? From Us” “Raising Taxes”. Yes, I agree, but where else would the money come from. I think everyone has to bite the bullett and chip in….it’s not for one individual it is for the country! So, raise taxes? So be it.

I’m with you Kelly. Everybody wants to point fingers, but nobody is pointing it at themselves and admitting errors. I’m not sure that will ever happen.
